The Beginning
A Century of Sacred Knowledge
Challa Publications traces its roots to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Press, founded in 1909 in Machilipatnam — one of the oldest centers of Telugu printing. In an era when sacred texts were handwritten on palm leaves and access to spiritual knowledge was limited to scholars, our founders envisioned a press that would bring the wisdom of the Vedas, Puranas, and Itihasas to every Telugu home.
Today, through Krishna Agencies, Vijayawada, we continue this legacy by bringing these timeless works to a new generation of readers — preserving authentic typography, traditional binding, and scholarly accuracy.
